I think the easiest for ArenaNet to do is T-shirts and hats. Then move on to the coffee cups ands mouse pads.
Action figures and plushies requires alot of approval and re-approvals before you find the right quality.
The T-shirts should be styled like rock & roll concert T-shirts. A shirt with colored Illustration of the Gods (Dwayna, Grenth, etc..) from the murals in the game (catacombs) on the front. Then have the Guild Wars logo on the back with list of Skills pertaining to the God (on the front of the T-shirt).
There's also room for making custom "guild" T-shirts that could have your own personal Guild name on the front and the standard Guild Wars logo in the back.
Another cool idea would be to offer T-shirts with a logo of a popular Skill, or one that shows your alliegence to the Luxon or the Kurzicks.
I personally wouldn't want any joke or snarky leet speak T-shirts because jokes get old after awhile, infact they get "dated" much faster if you are wearing it or using it all the time.
As for hats keep it simple, but don't go cheap on the qualty of the hat itself and also keep in mind there are alot women gamers who prefer barret-type headbands or winter caps.

I can hardly fathom as to why Mouse pads got the most votes.
Anyway.
I would pay big bucks for a high quality, highly detailed miniature of the Charr from the Guild Wars 2 concept art.

I voted Action Figures. I've been wanting one since beta. I'd vote for Rotscale/bonedragon action figure and male warrior in full 15k kurzick armor. I think also if you do action figures that there should be an accessory pack, including several weapons of each type i.e.: sword pack, axe pack, hammer pack, staff pack, wand/foci pack, etc...

Anything that isn't clothing. Nothing says "don't talk to me" quite like an MMO t-shirt.

I'm more into things attainable for in game use; just go to the online store and voila!
BUT, having computer gear would be #1 for merchandise.
- Mouse and pad are classics.
- A mouse wrist support (there's also for keyboard, but these are more popular). At least you can play comfortably! Been seeing those around lately. I'm an expat working in China and they sure are popular here... There's some mouse wrist supports with the shape of animals. They glow in the dark. It would be neat to adapt mini-pet shapes into that accessory. They work a bit like plushies and women. They're cute to have, but men also like them (generally speaking). I like them.
- One of those electric mug supports that keep your Tea/Coffee warm (via USB connection) for those long winter nights.
- Flash drives.
- Other USB connected small gadgets...
- Headphones + Mic, for better ranting on why the team got killed so quickly... "Oh, I was just looking at my new GORGEOUS 'Asura' mouse wrist support..."
#2 Plushies. Because women (not only children) dig them. Nice present to give, eh?
#3 Stickers / Window clings / PINS. You can place them anywhere, anyway. Makes a nice decorative reminder on one's addiction... :P
How about one that says: "You have been playing for 72 hours, your computer will self-destruct in 5 seconds..."
And that's what caught my attention the most. Never was much into wearable or commuting brand advertising... Unless it catches my eye, but I would have to see it first.

Here's the mouse wrist support that I was talking about. Like I said, they're very popular in China. Don't know about other places, but just imagine a mini-pet...wrist-supp.jpg
Another pic, this time of Garfield and in celebration of this Chinese New Year.

A complete chronicle of Guild Wars like a hardcover book with All the lore, All the artwork and maps, divided into chapters(with the appropiate artwork and maps)
Kinda like an illustrated novel of Guild Wars telling the entire story across 4 chapters.
Would give me some wonderfull offline Guild Wars time.
Easier to follow one big story instead of collecting bits and pieces from all chapters.

I might buy a hat. (What i voted for by accident.)
But i'd be most likly to buy a nice cloth or laminated map. Or better yet, window stickers. (for ze auto. )
So, in this order: window sticker. cloth map. hat.
